Devolved in detail

I entirely agree with Victor Clements (Letters, 30 July) that there should be a inquiry into the legitimacy of Ben Macpherson’s appointment to a ministerial role covering issues which are not devolved.

At the very least it might encourage Mr Macpherson to spend his time helping solve the many issues his constituents in Leith face instead of pursuing his party’s grievances across Europe and beyond.
