Gang of men in ‘unprovoked’ home attack

Three men inflicted serious head injuries on another man in an “unprovoked attack” after calling at his door in Midlothian.

The incident happened about 10:45pm on Saturday on Dobbie’s Road in Bonnyrigg.

The 53-year-old victim was in the property when three suspects approached and called at the door.

He answered and was assaulted immediately, leaving him with serious head and facial injuries.

Officers were called along with the Scottish Ambulance Service, who took the man to the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
