Poor show
I was appalled, but not surprised, by the behaviour of David Mundell at Wednesday’s Scottish Questions in Westminster.
I will give him his full title as he appears to have forgotten; he is the Secretary of State for Scotland and his duty is to represent Scotland in Westminster. Instead he sat dumbly in his seat, allowing a junior minister to answer on his behalf, even when prompted by Labour for a response.
When he briefly got to his feet, answers were both curt and totally lacking in detail. It was disgraceful display from the holder of one of the high offices of state in Scotland.
