Property firm Galbraith adds to commercial arm with new hire

Joining the commercial asset management team of Galbraith in the firm’s Edinburgh office sees Trotter returning to Scotland, having spent the last 12 years working in London and the south-east of England, latterly as a partner with Newton Perkins. Pamela Gray, partner in charge of asset management at Galbraith, said: “We are delighted that Harry has joined us and his appointment is part of our overall strategy to grow the professional, investment and asset management consultancy services to existing and new clients with a UK mandate. Harry’s wealth of knowledge and experience from working in the southern markets over a number of years will be invaluable in the development of our business. Angela Riley ton joins the firm as head of sheep sales and will be based at the company’s Lanark mart. He will oversee all aspects of sheep sales at Lawrie & Symington and his remit will include increasing the number of sheep auctioned by the firm. Hamilton joins the auctioneers from C&D Auction Marts, where he spent 15 years after being taken on as a trainee sheep auctioneer in 2003. During his time there, he rose through the ranks to become the head of sheep sales.
● Balhousie Care Group has appointed Angela Riley as manager of Balhousie Ruthven Towers care home in Auchterarder. Riley is returning to Ruthven Towers, having been deputy manager at the care home until late 2017. From Glasgow, she has worked in the care industry for many years, predominately as a support worker and then service manager, working closely with adults with learning disabilities. After a short career break, Riley is taking her first manager position in a care home. Since rejoining Ruthven Towers, she has been reconnecting with residents, their families and staff and overseeing a programme to develop team leadership roles in the home.
