Gym franchise in growth spurt
Gym business Energie Fitness is looking to flex its muscles and expand its franchise network north of the Border.
The low-cost gym business already has more than 140,000 UK members and sees some 1.8 million visits per year.
It attempts to differentiate itself from its rivals by placing a strong focus on customer service. All Energie Fitness gyms are constantly manned by trained staff.
Matt Roberts, the managing director of Energie Fitness Scotland, said the business was looking to expand its footprint.
“The statistics tell us that gym membership is increasing all the time, among all age groups especially young people,” he noted. “As a result, as these people get older the number of gym members can only go up.
“We are a market leader in gym franchising, both in terms of members and in terms of service.
“We won’t be offering this opportunity to just anybody, it is essential that we find the right people who share our vision, commitment and drive for betterment.
“Our whole business is centred on excellent customer service and this has to continue.”
The business is targeting individual franchisees and multi-site franchisees looking to open a chain of gyms. It said potential franchisees must have minimum liquid cash of £95,000 to £125,000.
