Twitterati: Giant eagle owl chick woos visitors at Scots wildlife centre

Cousins Sophie, Ariana and Elise Fletcher get up close to an 11-week-old milky eagle owl chick at the Scottish Owl Centre in West Lothian.

The young female – named Nala, after a character in the Disney film Lion King – has already grown to ten times the size of the egg she grew inside and weighs a hefty 1.5kg. Keepers say Nala, who was born in Belgium and brought to Scotland, is a big hit with visitors.
