Teenage boy charged after ‘break-ins’
A 14-year-old boy has been charged following a spate of break-ins in an Aberdeenshire village.
Over the past eight weeks the primary school, a hotel and a bowling club in New Pitsligo have been targeted as well as residential properties. Police said the teenager will be reported to the Youth Justice Management Unit over alleged thefts by housebreaking, housebreakings with intent to steal and attempted housebreakings.
Detective Sergeant Sam Buchan said: “We are committed to tackling acquisitive crime here in the north east.”
