Demand for bankers on rise north of the Border
Demand for banking and insurance professionals in Scotland rose by 24 per cent year-on-year to June, according to research from the Association of Professional Staffing Companies (APSCO).
The data, provided by recruitment software company Innovantage, also reveals a notable increase in overall permanent vacancies, up by 11 per cent.
Moya Rylands, regional director at APSCO, said: “After months of progress, professional job availability in Scotland is continuing to rise. Leading this success is the country’s banking and insurance sector.
“It seems the country is making its mark on the financial sector across regional and national economies.”
