Archibalds in GB team for Euros
Scottish siblings Katie and John Archibald have been named in the Great Britain cycling team for next month’s European Championships in Glasgow.
The pair both won medals on the same day at the Commonwealth Games this year. They are joined in the GB team by Peebles mountain biker Grant Ferguson and Paisley sprinter Jack Carlin. Laura and Jason Kenny are also included.
Current Tour de France leader Geraint Thomas and sprinter Mark Cavendish have been included on a 31-rider long-list, pending final selections for the road race and time trial.
The GB rowing team for the Euros has also been named and includes Scots Angus Groom, Karen Bennett, Alan Sinclair, Rowan Mckellar, Harry Leask, Katherine Douglas and Melissa Wilson.
