What’s the last piece of clothing you bought?

A gorgeous black floral maxi skirt that needs tailoring as it’s far too long for me. I have no idea where I’ll wear it to, but it’s got an eastern-western vibe so will suit any formal occasion.

What are you addicted to buying?

Everything – shoes, coats, jewellery, bags, you name it. I don’t enjoy shopping for anything specific as I never find what I’m looking for. I buy things as I find them, in the hope that the perfect occasion to wear them will come along one day, and it usually does.

Best ever bargain?

Some £12 black and white high heeled court shoes from the Primark section in London’s Selfridges. People always ask me where they are from when I wear them.

Who has great style?

Blake Lively, Olivia Palermo and Priyanka Chopra always look great. I liked Meghan Markle’s style before the royal wedding so it will be interesting to see how much it changes now she is the Duchess of Sussex.

Name your favourite high street shop.

Zara and H&M as I can pick up stuff for the whole family and home in both.

Any fashion disasters you’d care to tell us about?

I always look a total mess on the school run. If I’m not working, I never leave myself any time to get ready so I’m usually dropping my daughter off wearing the T-shirt I wore to bed.

What’s your favourite item in your wardrobe?

My coats and blazers – I have dozens which have been invaluable for filming and real life. You can chuck them over anything and still look like you’ve made an effort. n
