Fears over government file leaks
MPS have called for an urgent inquiry after sensitive Government documents were accidentally leaked online.
Cabinet and Home Office files on how to obtain security passes to Government buildings and details of communi- cations with MI5 and counterterrorism officers have been available online for up to four years. The leaks came from an online tool called Trello, reports by the Sunday Telegraph found.
Liberal Democrat MP Tom Brake, a member of the Commons home affairs committee, said: “A formal inquiry must be launched immediately.”
The Cabinete Office said it takes data protection seriously.
