Driving ahead: Macklin Motors owner Vertu assures investors over trading
Vertu, the car dealership group that runs the Macklin Motors brand north of the Border, has told investors that its sales of new cars are “significantly outperforming” the market, which has suffered a decline over the past four months. In a trading update to coincide with its annual meeting, Vertu – run by chief executive Robert Forrester, above – said it had continued to deliver profits in line with the board’s expectations. Like-for-like revenues and profits were increasing in the high-margin aftersales segment. The firm remains “cautious” for the near term, however.
