Demand for council to listen over axed buses

Opposition councillors have called on the Scottish Borders Council’s ruling executive to listen to the concerns of residents who face losing their evening bus service.

The two evening services of the 101/102 bus have been cancelled after the council withdrew £100,000 in funding.

The 101/102 bus, which runs between Dumfries and Edinburgh, will now run just four times a day each way from 19 August.
