Debate hots up

Beware – global warming is upon us. We have one good summer in 25 years and the “jolly green giants” are telling us that these high temperatures will be the norm within the next 50 years.

They point to the temperatures in Japan, where 300 people have died with the heat and 23,000 been admitted to hospital. The counter-evidence is there have been fewer hurricanes in the US, presumably because the jetstream has changed its latitudes.

One swallow does not make a summer, and one good year in 25 does constitute Armageddon, so for high temperatures – bring it on!
