Teens hunted for deliberate fire lit near wheat farm
Crops worth more than £100,000 were put at risk by a fire believed to have been deliberately lit in East Lothian.
Police said a grass verge was set alight in Athelstaneford, east of Haddington, about 9pm on Friday.
The flames came close to spreading to a wheatfield covering 40 sqm. No-one was injured, but officers said the financial impact on the farm was could have been devastating.
Police are treating the fire as suspicious. They want to trace a large group of teenagers, aged between 16 and 19, who were seen in the area.
