Man charged after elderly woman robbed

A man has been charged after a woman in her 70s was robbed near Royal Bank of Scotland in the Market Square area of Stonehaven at the weekend.

A 38-year-old man is expected to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court today.

Detective Sergeant John Lumsden, who led inquiries, said: “I would like to thank the members of the public who assisted with our investigation.”
