#BLACKFORD

SNP Westminster leader Ian Blackford has been accused of “an odious attempt to re-write history” by playing down claims he led a vendetta against the late Charles Kennedy. The accusation was made by former Labour MP Brian Wilson, who said the final months of Mr Kennedy’s life were disfigured by the “disgraceful” campaign. @donnyhiab stressed: “Mr Blackford starting to become a target now? Doing rather too well for the establishments liking? I remember just how nasty many of the Libdem attacks were against sitting SNP MPS in the last election as well, especially where Libdem MPS had been dethroned in 2015!” @fifer1976 queried: “I’m curious to know “why now?”

#CORBYN

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has apologised for the “concerns and anxiety” caused over reports he hosted a Holocaust Memorial Day event in 2010 at which a Holocaust survivor compared the Israeli government to Nazism. @Fadiaudah tweeted: “Apologizes for sharing a platform .... 8 years ago .... with a Holocaust survivor that criticizsd Israel!!! Oh come on...witch hunt!!”

@Stemattmurray added: “I defend #Corbyn not because I am in a cult or because I am brainwashed I defend Corbyn because as a disabled poor working class person he defends me.”

@Misslauramarcus countered: “People raking up stuff from #Corbyn’s past need to have a word with themselves. Can’t hold him responsible for what he did in his youth when he was only 61.”

#MCDONALDS

Mcdonald’s is saying sorry after a 32-week pregnant mother was served a cleaning agent in a cup rather than a latte in Alberta. The two cleaning lines were accidentally hooked up to the latte machine while her drink was made.

@mattfurze said: “I’m not sure that an apology will be quite enough here.”

@steftravels added: “It’s really disgusting how dangerous food has become and how lax people are about food safety at companies and restaurants.”

@wingwtharana wondered: “Was the cup hot if it was cleaning solution? Wouldn’t the smell be quite pungent? At the very least this woman should get a lifetime supply of nuggets. #eww.”
