Mobile phones brazenly stolen in midday raid

More than £11,000 worth of mobile phones has been stolen from a store in the Scottish Borders.

The incident happened about 1:20pm on Wednesday at the O2 store on Chanel Street.

Three men entered the premises. One attempted to distract staff, while the other two stole 15 handsets, including iphones, Samsungs and other Android phones. Detective Sergeant Callum Peoples described the act as a “brazen theft”.
