Royal ‘high fives’ as Duke of Rothesay greets children from local primary school

-

The Prince of Wales, known as the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland, “high fives” children from Crossroads Primary School after attending morning service at Canisbay Church in Caithness, the most northerly parish church in mainland Scotland. Charles, 69, visits every year after being picked as chieftain of the Mey Highland and Cultural Games. The prince’s late grandmother, the Queen Mother, had close links with Caithness after buying the Castle of Mey in 1952. Charles is continuing a tradition by visiting the games as his grandmother used to attend every year before her death in 2002.
