The head of asylum accommodation provider Serco has said he does not know how many of those he houses in Glasgow will be evicted. Serco will extend the notice period by 21 days for six people currently subject to lock-change notices, and all further notices to other asylum seekers whose applications have been refused will be paused “whilst the law is being tested and clarified”.

A steam train experience that features Scotland’s latest World Heritage Site and newest railway line has returned to the timetable again. Passengers on the Scottish Railway Preservation Society’s Railtours steam special will have the opportunity to take in views of the new Queensferry Crossing as they cross the iconic Forth Bridge from the Fife coast to the Scottish Borders.
