Barclays blasted over PPI failures

Bar clays has been ordered by the competition watchdog to step up its customer communications as the lender wascri ticised for failings linked to payment protection insurance (PPI).

The Competition and Markets Author - ity (CMA) said that the lender breached an order requiring banks to provide customerswi than annual reminder setting out how much they have paid in to a PPI scheme.
