Residents ‘tied to chairs with belts’ at care home

The Care Inspectorate has taken steps to close a care home in Aberdeenshire following reports of “highly distressing conditions”.

Aberdeen Sheriff Court granted an Interim Suspension Order for Muirhead Care Home after reports of residents being tied to chairs with belts and not enough food.

Age Scotland said: “The unacceptable conditions residents at this care home have been subjected to is appalling.”
