Man dies and four ill in harbour case

A man has died and a number of others are being treated in hospital following an incident onboard a boat in Fraserburgh harbour. Police Scotland said concerns were raised for a group of men who had fallen ill at the harbour at about 2pm yesterday.

One died a short time later and four other men are receiving treatment. Police said they were “not believed to be in a life-threatening condition”.

Inspector Nick Thom said: “Our thoughts are with this man’s family at this very sad time.”
