Lambing season: Buyers flock to Lairg market to fleece the best deal for thousands of sheep

Potential buyers watch as sheep farmers gather at Lairg auction for the great sale of lambs yesterday. Lairg market hosts the annual lamb sale, which is one of the biggest single-day livestock markets in Europe, when up to 15,000 sheep from all over the north of Scotland can be bought or sold in the Sutherland farming village.
