French farce

- Grant Hill

Neil Mccann signed three native French speakers, but so far it’s plus ca change for his new-look squad. We still can’t score and remain stubbornly prone to moments of madness at the back.

Sofien Moussa and Jean Alassane Mendy once again passed up chances against Aberdeen, but it was Genseric Kusunga’s turn to commit harikari with a handball block that Wilt Chamberlain would have been proud of. Until then Kharl Madianga had been imperious, Elton Ngatala industrious and Adil Nabi impressive.

Despite results, there are positives to take from our opening two games but two years on we’re still bemoaning the departures of Kane Hemmings and Greg Stewart. Until we find a good striker and tighten up at the back, good work in the middle of the park will count for little.
