Off the agenda
The SNP leadership has been criticised for failing to discuss its blueprint for independence at its autumn party conference. The list of motions to be discussed in October ignore Andrew Wilson’s Growth Commission or the currency to be used in any independent Scotland.
Indy isn’t on anyone’s agenda anymore except for the battle reenactment enthusiasts and the flag wavers. SNP politicians, each and every last one of them, have just settled for keeping snouts in the trough as long as possible, indy is on the slab, dead.

The Font It’s true what they say. The SNP only want to discuss their (so-called) good news. Everything else is swept under the carpet or put in file 13, which is getting very full.

Astonishing but predictable. The last thing the SNP want is to let their economic cat out of the bag. They are proposing an agenda farther to the right than anything George Osborne could dream of. It does not chime with the “Progressive” and “Inclusive” touchy-feely narrative so must be concealed from the common folk.

The SNP’S refusal to discuss their long-awaited blueprint for independence is a sign of their defeat, they know the Growth Commission report is a no-goer and not fit for purpose.
Bea.sutherland Since independence is not on the cards it is quite sensible for the SNP to focus on real issues affecting the people of Scotland. For example, how to attract industry without wafting millions
