Partick Thistle Fitzpatrick’s masterclass

What a difference a week makes when you’re a Partick Thistle supporter. Last week the end was nigh among some fans. After Saturday’s win over Falkirk everyone was more upbeat. Add to that the performances of a couple of youngsters, Jamie Sneddon in goal and a masterclass by 17-year-old Aidan Fitzpatrick on Tuesday night in a 5-0 win at Stranraer, and suddenly the world is a brighter place.

Newcomer Mbuyi-mutombo impressed with his quick feet and direct running at Stranraer. With the addition of another three players Thistle will have a very decent squad. This Saturday, Celtic visit in the Betfred Cup. We always seem to get them after a bad result. Hopefully the European hangover continues after lunchtime.
