Alloa Athletic Three recruits needed

- Brian Roach

Despite the defeat by Morton on Saturday there were some really encouraging signs. Generally the team matched up and competed well against a strong Morton midfield. As a unit they are looking fairly settled and balanced. Points on the board are now required, but it doesn’t get any easier with the next two fixtures against Inverness and Dundee United.

On Tuesday evening Alloa progressed in the Irn Bru Cup with a comfortable 3-1 derby win over Stirling Albion. Due to a couple of player absences, manager Jim Goodwin was only able to name one outfield substitute. A free weekend gives him time to urgently address this. I think we need to recruit a minimum of three players of the required standard in order to compete.
