Malcolm on target as Barca ease to victory

Barcelona winger Malcolm continued to impress for his new club by opening the scoring as the spanish champions cruised to a comfortable victory over Boca Juniors to lift the Joan Gamper Trophy last night.

The Brazilian, who moved from Bordeaux last month for £36.5 million, struck with a low drive in the first half and Lionel Messi added a second, before Barca changed their entire team in the second period.

The South Americans were outplayed at the Nou Camp, although Nahitan Nandez had a shot cleared off the line by Samuel Umtiti. Rafinha completed the scoring by finishing off a one-two with Luis Suarez.

Barca’s Paco Alacer found the net in the final moments only to be ruled offside.
