Arbroath lose perfect record

Dumbarton struck in injury time to grab a 1-1 draw with table-topping visitors Arbroath and end their perfect start to the league season.

Bobby Linn thumped the Gayfield men ahead on 27 minutes, but as the game entered injury time Sons midfielder Ross Forbes found the top corner from 18 yards. Dumbarton manager Stephen Aitken said: “The players deserved to get something from the game.”

Airdrie moved up to second place with a 2-1 win at Stenhousem­uir achieved with only ten men from the 13th minute after Scott Robertson was dismissed for a challenge on Alan Cook. Ryan Conroy headed them in front on 42 minutes, but Cook equalised with a deflected shot. Airdrie secured the win with a thumping drive by Conroy 11 minutes into the second half.

Montrose struck twice in the opening 15 minutes to defeat Brechin City at Links Park. After Euan Henderson’s opener, Ross Campbell scored from the spot. Despite Boris Melingui nodding in before the break City returned home empty handed.

In the Fife derby between Raith Rovers and East Fife

that ended 2-2, Rovers striker Kevin Nisbet opened and closed the scoring from the penalty spot. In-between, Scott Agnew also netted a penalty and fired home from 20 yards. Forfar v Stranraer

ended goalless at Station Park.
