Harbour statue to pay tribute to lost fishermen

A memorial statue has been proposed by the Pittenweem Fishermen’s Memorial Association for near the harbour.

The Scottish charity hopes to erect the statue as a memorial to fishermen who lost their lives at sea.

The association say there is no visible outdoor recognition for those lost.

A public consultation showed strong support for the artwork, which is expected to cost about £70,000.
