Men hunted after starting fire

Police are searching for two men after a building was deliberately set ablaze in Edinburgh.

The incident happened about 12:50am on Sunday in Gilmerton Dykes Crescent.

A fire was started in an outbuilding. Officers said they believed two men seen nearby may have facial burns.

Detective Constable Christina Yeoman, from Gayfield CID, said: “Thankfully the fire was quickly brought under control by the fire service. However, the consequences of this act could have been much worse.”
