Fringe benefits

At the weekend my wife (86) and I (87), with our walking aids, managed our regular visit to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and saw six shows.

The multinational crowd was the largest we had ever experienced, but in the station, the streets, the buses, the taxis and venues we met consideration, help and kindness. It was an enjoyable and uplifting experience of human nature en masse. JOHN CARDER East Forth Street,
