Brewdog opens doors to hotel in US brewery

0 Every room at the Doghouse hotel has its own beer pump serving Brewdog ales on draught.

Brewdog has opened what it says is the world’s first hotel inside a brewery where guests can watch craft ale being produced from their room.

The Doghouse, at the site of its US brewery in Columbus, Ohio, has 32 rooms each with its own beer taps and a built-in shower beer fridge.

James Watt, co-founder of Ellon-based Brewdog, said: “For many beer fans, the idea of a beer hotel was just a pipedream. Thanks to the backing of our global community of beer evangelists, we’ve been

hard at work to make that dream a reality.”

Brewdog first announced plans for the Doghouse in March 2017, with a crowdfunding campaign that eventuallysawmorethan$300,000 (£233,000) raised, with backers given first access to room reservations. More than 500 nights in the hotel have already been pre-booked.

The firm earlier this year announced plans to open an immersive craft beer hotel and brewery expansion next door to its headquarters.
