Motherwell
Almost like football
Motherwell produced an excellent result on Saturday with a much-needed win at Livingston in the League Cup. It remains to be seen whether or not it heralds the proper start to our season.
Despite a stodgy second half, there were plenty of positives from the first 45 minutes. Gael Bigirimana dictated play, Elliot Frear zipped in crosses and we had movement from our front pair – it almost resembled football!
It must be admitted that Livingston contributed to our revival. Kenny Miller’s supporting cast looked very much like they were playing third-tier football two seasons ago.
So, we’re forward in the cup and quietly confident at least one team will finish below us in the league.
