Scotrail staff to vote on action

-

Scotrail workers are to balloted on industrial action following the breakdown of talks over pay anomalies.

Some 3,500 members of the RMT union will vote on banning overtime, which officials claimed would cause “massive” disruption.

Train conductors and other staff are angry at being paid less than half as much as drivers for working on days off.

Scotrail did not provide a comment, but has said it is recruiting more staff to reduce the need for such “rest day working”.
