Waxing lyrical: Preparations for first Irish papal visit since 1979
A newly unveiled wax work of Pope Francis is hoisted into position at at the National Wax Museum in Dublin. A newly refurbished original 1979 Pope Mobile has also been unveiled in the Irish capital ahead of the pontiff’s three-day visit to the Emerald Isle this weekend. Pope Francis will carry out official duties on Saturday, before an estimated crowd of around half a million people make their way to Phoenix Park for the closing mass on Sunday.
