Fomer journalist and lecturer Allsopp dies

Former journalist and Napier University lecturer Bill Allsopp has died at the age of 85.

Hisfamilysaidtheformer Daily Express journalist and mentor to countless young reporters passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday.

He is survived by wife Anne, children Jane, Jerry, Susan, Penny and Lucy, 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His funeral service will take place today.
