Newtonmore wary of slip-up

-

Shinty: Marine Harvest Premiership leaders Newtonmore won’t want any slipups when Caberfeidh visit The Eilan. More will check on defender Andy Mackintosh’s knee injury whilst Caberfeidh pair Kevin Bartlett and Liam Symonds are banned.

The match of the day is at Kirkton where fourthplaced Kinlochshiel host second-placed Kyles Athletic; a repeat of last week’s Artemis Macaulay Cup final. The sides are only separated by a point and Shiel have a game in hand. Shiel’s Keith Macrae is still out and Kyles have injury doubts over Grant Irvine and Thomas Whyte.

Third-placed Lovat welcome Kingussie to Balgate. Lovat’s Martin Mainland is banned and Danny Kelly is injured. Kieran Macpherson is missing for the Kings.

New manager Lachlan Campbell takes charge of Lochaber against Oban Camanachd, who are minus Malcolm Clark for the trip to Spean Bridge.

The top two in the Marine Harvest National Division clash at Canal Parks as Kilmallie face Fort William.
