THURSTON MANOR AND PEASE BAY

-

The East Lothian coastline is the ideal destination to admire dramatic sea views and magnificent nature reserves, with coastal paths and forest trails.

Few leisure parks benefit from such spectacular surroundings while being in a convenient location for sandy beaches, quaint towns and Edinburgh’s abundance of historic sites.

However, nestling at the foot of the Lammermuir Hills, near Innerwick, is Thurston Manor Leisure Park.

It is one of eight holiday parks owned by bespoke operator Verdant Leisure and has a selection of high quality holiday homes on offer.

A significant investment of £2.7 million from the company enabled the refurbishment of the park’s restaurant and bar in 2017.

With a fishing lake, games room and indoor swimming pool, the park provides the perfect escape for the whole family.

Meanwhile, six miles south at Cockburnspath is Verdant Leisure’s Pease Bay Leisure Park.

Romantic and breathtakingly beauti- ful, it is the ultimate spot for long coastal walks or lazy days on the beach.

It is close to a number of archaeological sites that have been inhabited and fought over since the Bronze Age.

After a day of exploring the picturesque surroundings, the Smugglers Restaurant serves up freshly prepared meals and also provides a takeaway service.

Both sites have 11-month seasons and offer a range of new and pre-owned models to suit most budgets, from affordable caravans to beautifully finished lakeside lodges.

They offer spacious pitches with plenty of space for decking to use for relaxing outdoors on those warm evenings.
