An east coast kilt outfitter has unveiled a new look after undergoing a rebrand.

The Kilt Hire Co partnered with design agency Contagious to create its new identity, Eight Yards.

The company’s online presence, shop interiors, uniforms and more than 20,000 labels have since been updated to reflect the change in brand.

Eight Yards refers to the length of fabric traditionally needed to make a quality kilt.

Owner Paul Swadzba said: “Our new brand identity

reflects our commitment to our clients and their experience when purchasing or hiring a kilt. We will, of course, retain our established values but at the same time develop a new and modern identity.

“We are investing in the highest quality products, that are locally sourced, designed and produced in Scotland.”

The business began hiring and selling kilts in Musselburgh in 1991. Three years later, it opened its flagship Haymarket store and, in 2005, it launched in Dundee.
