Sir Cliff to release album in November

Sir Cliff Richard is to release his first album of new material in 14 years.

The 77-year-old singer, whose album Rise Up will be released on 23 November, said its title and lyrics reflect the “bad period” he has been through.

Sir Cliff was recently awarded a substantial amount in damages after a judge found the BBC coverage of a police raid on his home in 2014 was a “very serious” invasion of his privacy. The star announced his new 16-track album from London’s Abbey Road Studios.
