Man, 41, kicked outside home in surprise attack

A man is recovering at home after being punched and kicked while on the ground outside his home in Dumfries and Galloway.

The 41-year-old man was targeted in a “totally unprovoked” attack near Kettle holm in the early hours of Saturday morning.

Police said the victim was approached by two other men who carried out the attack. The victim was said to have sustained bruises and grazes.

PC Lee Barnfather said: “The victim is unable to describe his attackers, other than he thinks they were male and that one spoke with a Scottish accent.”
