Stability at last

Saturday’s game at Celtic Park was one for the diehards. I skipped it, as the prospect of paying £24 to sit behind a pillar to watch Accies on the back foot for 89 minutes didn’t appeal.

However, we got out of there with what was a good result for us, with minimal goal difference damage and no fresh injuries or suspensions.

One of the big problems in the last couple of seasons has been our porous defence and it may be that Martin Canning has now managed to find a group of players who are able to give us some stability there. The recruitment of Aaron Mcgowan and Delphin Tshiembe, the return of Ziggy Gordon and the emergence of Shaun Want and Scott Mcmann have been critical. We face our bogey team St Johnstone on Saturday and frankly it’s time we beat them.
