Lack of enthusiasm

Alan Stubbs mentioned the word “disappointed” several times in his interview after his team’s horror show against a recently buoyed Livingston side under Gary Holt. No one is more disappointed than the Saints fans right now.

The abject failures of the Buddies on the pitch have become a mere sideshow compared to Stubbs’ lack of enthusiasm and interaction with the supporters, for which Jack Ross was adored at the club.

Being successor to the now-sunderland boss was always going to be a tough gig for any manager, but many find it hard to believe how much Ross’ enormous efforts to bring the feelgood factor back to the club have been dashed in a matter of only three league fixtures.
