Man assaulted in street in broad daylight attack

A man has sustained facial and hand injuries after being assaulted in the street in Perth.

Police are appealing for information about the attack, which took place on Charterhouse Lane, close to The Green Room on Canal Street, about 11:45pm last Saturday.

The victim was allegedly assaulted in the street by another man. Several members of the public were at the scene. Officers have spoken to some witnesses. A Police Scotland statement said they still wanted to speak to a man and woman who intervened in the assault.
