Truth of Ruth?
The Scottish Conservatives have denied rumours leader Ruth Davidson will move to London in the near future to pursue the Tory leadership. According to The Sun, the MSP for Edinburgh Central reportedly told friends she would make the move as a stepping stone for a Tory leadership bid and abandon Scottish politics to take a peerage instead.
A “friend” who was told in confidence by her “friend”, decides to blab to the media. Who needs “friends” like that? Ruth is going to be the next First Minister of Scotland and then Prime Minister of the UK
I Know You Know I could see her doing well in Westminster because the current crop of Tory politicians are dreadfully weak, with a few honourable exceptions. I do wonder, though, whether she might change her mind after she delivers her wee bundle of joy. Many women do
Pax Vobiscum English voters would not like a Scot to be their PM. We had enough of tartan PMS. Member of the House of Lords is not a position from which PMS these days emerge. The PM should be in the Commons.
Darth Vader Who cares which PM is born where, what really matters is whether they make a good PM surely?
Jomydo Adam Tomkins or Liz Smith would better lead the Tories in Scotland. Ruth Davidson is good for about 10 per cent of the time. The rest of the time she is not interested – since when has this been
good enough for Scotland, let alone the UK.
Hoditanddodit She spars quite well, but fails to deliver the killer punch on target at every opportunity.
Localnumberfife Much too fond of the EU for my liking. She’s really a liberal in disguise.
Bramley No surprise there. It wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world to happen if she did become PM, given the selection of extremists and idiots in the shadows waiting to pounce on May.
Dunnomuch Can she get Sturgeon and the Other SNP Holyrood members kicked out, before moving the the PM role. Or get rid of Holyrood if she is PM, that will get her in.
Britishandinscotland Wherever Ruth works she’ll be an asset. How different from the liabilities that currently ru(i)n Scotland.
