Stabbing victim fighting for his life

A man is fighting for his life after being stabbed in a suspected attempted murder.

The alleged attack happened on Ratho Street in Greenock at 7.45pm on Saturday.

A 25-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being stabbed.

Officers arrested a 24-year-old in connection with the incident.

Emergency services took the victim to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, where he was still being treated yesterday for serious injuries.

His condition was described as critical.
