Residents rescued from Dundee fire

-

Five people have been rescued after a fire broke out in a city centre flat in Dundee.

Emergency services were called to the scene in Nethergate around 3:10pm yesterday.

Police said two people have been taken to hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

Part of Nethergate was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Police warned people to avoid the immediate area, with the road having been shut. At least one person was rescued by a Scottish Fire and Rescue aerial unit.
