Hamilton Accies Welcome break

After all the excitement provided by the signing of four new players on deadline day, we went with an established team against St Johnstone on Saturday. We simply weren’t good enough. After competing relatively well for the early part of the game, we lost the place – and the match – in a spell before half-time. After that, it was pretty straightforward for the superior visitors.

Thankfully, we now have a break to get the new guys registered and bedded in prior to the six-pointer at whatever Livingston are calling their place this season. Matt Kilgallon ought to be excellent at the back and I’m looking forward to seeing the other new players too. I don’t think we’re too far away from being decent, although I have worries about our lack of midfield creativity. As usual.
